Potential members are welcome to join the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth at any stage whever they're just getting started or are seasoned veterans.  If you live, work, or do business in the Greater Portsmouth are you are welcome here!

Who We Are

We are the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth. We are the local Chamber of Commerce made up of over 830 diverse and vibrant members, businesses and organizations.

  • Our mission is to lead the greater Portsmouth business community as a convener of people, businesses, and organizations, through innovative and responsive communication, education, advocacy, and collaborative opportunities.
  • We work to realize a diverse City of the Open Door by empowering and advocating for the greater Portsmouth business community; creating a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

Why Join

Every member joins the Collaborative for their own reasons. Popular examples include:

NETWORKING: The Chamber holds three networking events each month:

  • Morning Mixer - 2nd Friday of the Month from 8:30-9:30am, 35-50+ attendees
  • Lunchtime Mixer - 3rd Wednesday of the Month from 12-1pm, 25+ attendees
  • Business After Hours - 4th Thursday of the Month from 5-7pm, 100-150+ attendees

MARKETING: The Chamber offers member to member as well as member to public facing marketing opportunities.

CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP: The chamber advocates on behalf of the greater Portsmouth business community in a variety of areas including Healthcare, Housing, Economy, Workforce Development & Environmental Stewardship.

Workforce Development

We support workforce development through our work with Portsmouth High School’s Career Education & Technology Center, Great Bay Community College and the University of New Hampshire.

We also actively partner with organizations working to help make Portsmouth a great place to live, work, and raise a family, such as Catapult Seacoast, the Business Alliance for People of Color, Seacoast Outright, Access Navigators, Twenty-One Senses and more.

Tourism

The Chamber Collaborative is very active in the tourism space.

We support tourism-related businesses through a variety of efforts such as printed collateral, staffing the visitor center and Market Square visitor’s kiosk and leveraging state tourism grants.

Rates

Chamber Collaborative membership dues are based on an investment based on the type of business plus an assessment based on size. The most common examples include.

  • GENERAL BUSINESS: $375 + $5 per full time employee
  • RESTAURANTS: $435 + $2 per indoor restaurant seat
  • LODGING FACILITIES: $435 + $5 per room
  • SOLE PROPRIETOR: $280 per year
  • NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: Sliding scale based on 990 revenue figures
